You may be aware there was an incident on the school vehicle gate this morning where there was a collision between a car exiting the school car park and a pupil on a bicycle. There were thankfully no serious injuries sustained.
School has put measures in place to reduce the possibility of accidents on this gate as there is reduced visibility. There are mirrors to aid with visibility, yellow cross hatches on the pavement and staff know to drive slowly and stop at the gate.
To help increase the safety of pedestrians and cyclists, we ask that you be vigilant when passing the gate and be aware that this entrance is in constant use.
