COVID RECOVERY
Following the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent closure of schools, the government issued an amount of catch up funding to all schools to support closing gaps in learning. The amount of funding allocated is based on pupil numbers.
Here at Elm Park Primary, when deciding how to allocate and spend our funding, we have considered our children’s needs from a physical, emotional, social and academic perspective emotionally, socially and academically, as well as identifying strategies that have ensured pupils’ good progress previously. We have also used the government recommended ‘COVID-19 Support Guide for Schools’ published by the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) to identify best strategies, based on long term research, so that we can achieve the most positive outcomes for our children.
