Dear Parents/Guardians,

EPPS Sports Day – Tuesday 1st July 2025

Junior Sports Day (Yr3 to Yr6) will be held during the morning from 9.30 a.m. 

Infant Sports Day (Reception to Yr2) will be held during the afternoon from 1.00 p.m.  

We would like to invite you to watch your child(ren) during sports day.  We will be holding an ‘al-fresco’ style lunch with pupils eating their packed lunch on the school field and we extend an invitation for you to join your child(ren) during lunchtime with a picnic.  Please bring your own food and soft drinks.  There will be no hot dinners served from the kitchen, baguettes will be served and children will have the choice of Tuna, Ham or Cheese.

Lunch will be held at 11.45 until 12.45 for Reception & KS1 and 12.00 until 1.00 for KS2.  

There will be a lunchtime tuck shop and barbecue available to buy burgers, etc. and sweets, ice creams and drinks from.  If you are unable to attend the sports day you may, if you wish, provide your child with a small amount of money to spend at the tuck shop.  Children will be responsible for their own money.  All proceeds raised will go to the Friends of Elm Park Primary.

Children will be participating in their P.E. kit, but if possible, please arrange for them to bring in a T shirt the colour of their house.  Please note houses are not allocated according to families therefore it is possible siblings may be in different houses.

Please ensure your child has weather appropriate clothing, for example a sun cap and sun cream or waterproof jacket and warm sweatshirt etc.  Please also provide your child with plenty of water.  If persistent heavy rain is forecast we will reschedule for a later date.  

I would like to thank you for your continued support and look forward to seeing you on Tuesday 1st July 2025 for what should be an exciting sporting day.  Please see your child’s google classroom for their house colour.

Gate opening times

8.35 a.m. until 9.30 a.m 11.30 a.m. until 12.00 p.m.

1.00 p.m. until 1.10 p.m Finally gates will be open again at the end of KS1 sports day.

The gates will be kept shut during sports day for health and safety reasons.  Please respect these times and avoid entering and exiting the site outside of these times as it creates significant disruption for staff and poses a risk to the safety of our pupils. Parents and visitors to the school site are expected to behave in a polite and respectful manner at all times as abuse of any kind will not be tolerated.
