You are invited to join our phonics lessons on Wednesday 22nd January 2025. The phonics lessons begin promptly at 9:00am however you are welcome to come into the classroom with your child on entry to school at 8:30am and wait for phonics to begin. If your child accesses phonics with our Year 1 pupils, you will follow them to their group and stay with them. Lessons end at 9:30am. Pupils will then return to class as usual and parents will be able to leave the school building.
Watching your child in their lesson is a fantastic way to understand how we teach the early stages of reading so that you can replicate some of the activities at home and know the terminology we use in school.
On this occasion, we ask that younger siblings do not attend to ensure pupils are not disturbed in their lessons.
