Bike courses in school16 September 2024 (by Ashlea Stevenson (ashlea.stevenson)) |
We are pleased to be able to tell you that we are running our bikeability courses again this term. We have been lucky enough to secure instructors for:
Learn-to-Ride - 30th September & 1st October 2024
This is a 2-day course for 20 children from years 2 to 6 who would like to learn to ride or to come off stabilisers.
Level 1 Bikeability - 2nd & 4th October 2024
This is a 2-day course for 30 children from years 3 and/or 4 who have basic riding ability. All training takes place in the playground or a MUGA.
Cycle Awareness Days - 3rd October 2024
This is a one day course for up to 40 children, usually in Reception to Year 2, designed to raise awareness about cycling and road safety. It introduces participants to basic bicycle handling skills, and encourages safe cycling practices.
Consent forms will be handed out in class this week and are available to collect from the school office. All of these courses have limited numbers and are first come - first serve.
If your child does not own a bike but would still like them to participate, please complete a consent form as Havering are able to provide us with bikes.
If your child does not get a place this time, please do not worry, we will run these courses again throughout the Spring term.
