Final information for Mersea Residential Trip: 9th -13th September 2024
Please bring your child and their luggage to the courtyard from 9:30am on Monday 9th September 2024. The coach will leave at 10:00am.
When arriving, there will be an adult collecting the medication and form and an adult collecting your child's named purse.
If your child is bringing any treats with them, we ask that these are handed into their group leader when they arrive at school. We asked that there are no nuts in any of these and that they are age appropriate sweets/treats. To ensure the safety of the pupils, we want to double check the ingredients to any sweets/chocolate/treats that are being brought and consumed. As discussed at the meeting any treats will be shared with all children.
The children will require a packed lunch on Monday – no fizzy drinks, glass bottles or nuts please.
If your child requires travel sickness pills, please give them the medicine before leaving for school. If you require them to have pills for the return journey, please put your child’s name on the packet and staff will ensure they are taken at the appropriate time.
If your child requires hay fever/allergy medicine, please label this clearly with your child’s name and dosage. The staff will ensure that the children take the medicine as requested.
We suggest the children take no more than £15 in pocket money which will be looked after by the school staff and given to the children when they are due to visit the tuckshop. Coins are preferable. The money should be put into a small purse / wallet with your child's name clearly written on it and handed to the group leader in the hall on arrival. If they don't want to bring money for the tuck shop, they can bring their own sweets or crisps, which will be shared with all the children throughout the week.
Children will have to carry their own luggage so suitcases / bags must be practical and manageable.
Children will need their own bedding, this can be in the form of a sleeping bag or duvet and pillow. There will be no bottom sheet provided.
We will keep you up-to-date with daily news posted on the school's social media page.
The children will return on Friday 13th September. They will leave the centre at 1.45pm and we anticipate their arrival back to school at around 3:30pm.
